Fender Guitar Competition Terms and Conditions

  1. Employees of HMV Group Plc and any of its subsidiaries (“HMV Group”) and their families are not eligible to enter the competition.
  2. Each person who purchases a ticket from an online authorised ticket agent to the High Voltage Festival 2011 taking place at Victoria Park, London on 23 and 24 July 2011 (“Festival”) (regardless of whether the online purchase is prior to or following the launch of this competition) will be entered into a prize draw to win a prize of a Fender guitar signed by various artists performing at the Festival and a Marshall Amplifier.
  3. The closing date for entries is 12:00pm on Thursday 21 July 2011 (the “Closing Date”). Entries received after the Closing Date shall not be entered into the competition.
  4. All entrants must be 18 years or over by the Closing Date and must be resident within the United Kingdom. Additional evidence may be required in order to verify a winner’s identity. This may include a valid passport or driving licence.
  5. You will be deemed to have read and understood these terms and conditions and to be bound by them.
  6. The draw will be held on Friday 22 July 2011. Winners will be formally notified on Tuesday 26 July 2011. If we are unable to trace the winner within this time period then we will be entitled to withdraw the offer and another winner will be drawn from the entrants. Our decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  7. Only one entry per person is permitted.
  8. The prize may not be transferred to any other person.
  9. No alternative prize is available but in the event of the prize being unavailable we reserve the right to offer an alternative prize of equal or greater value.
  10. No member of the HMV Group will be liable for any damage, loss or disappointment suffered by any person taking part or not being able to take part in a competition.
  11. We reserve the right to amend these rules at any time. We reserve the right to end or suspend the competition or to amend these terms and conditions.
  12. The winners may be required to participate in publicity connected with this competition and it is a condition of entry that the winner(s) agree to their name and country of residence being made publicly available if they win.
  13. The HMV Group will not be liable for any failure of receipt of entries and takes no responsibility for entries that are lost, delayed, illegible, corrupted, damaged, incomplete or otherwise invalid.
  14. If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
  15. This competition is governed by English law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
